Welcome to the Barnsley Freecycle Town Group! To view the items being given away or sought in any other group you must be a member of that local Town Group.

The Freecycle Network™ is made up of 5,333 Town Groups with 11,607,809 members across the globe. It's a grassroots and entirely nonprofit movement of people who are giving (and getting) stuff for free in their own towns and thus keeping good stuff out of landfills.

Membership is free, and everything posted must be FREE, legal and appropriate for all ages. This means no alcohol, tobacco, firearms or other weapons, and no prescription medication. Never send money for anything offered including money for shipping/couriers. We suggest that email adresses and phone numbers in posts are not a good idea and if used are at posters risk. We allow resale but intent to resell must be disclosed up front. Scrap collectors must be registered.

Barnsley does not allow animal posts and suggests you contact local animal charity sites for rehoming etc.

Location means where you are based not where you are posting to or where you are willing to collect from e.g. Dodworth, first part (not full) of post code, or town centre not just Barnsley.

We suggest that you arrange pickup with one person at a time using the sites messaging system but obviously it is your choice if you use your email address or phone number. Please take reasonable measures to protect your safety We expect all members to behave thoughtfully turning up as arranged or informing the other person if they cannot attened or change their minds.
