Phishing Warning

Several groups have reported a significant increase in phishing scams via the Freecycle network recently.

"Members throughout UK and now in USA are reporting receiving responses to Offer and Wanted posts but are in fact Phishing attempts.  Freecycle Team in USA are now working on this and closing down the phishers accounts as they become known."  

There have been a number of different messages of this type to Ruthin Freecycle members. Please do not respond to any message that does not seem to be a genuine response to your post, or click on any external link.  If you receive any such contact, please contact the moderator, including the username of the account which contacted you, so that the accounts can be removed. I apologise for the inconvenience and would be grateful for your help in reporting these accounts so that they can be shut down as quickly as possible.
