Please note a comment on the main Freecycle page (accessed by clicking the green ? at the bottom right of the main page) warning of SPAM activity across the network. This is certainly something that has occurred in Malvern Hills group. Please be wary of any mysterious replies to posts asking for bank details, etc.

Freecycle.org is completely free to use and we will never ask for payment or credit card details in order to use our website. We do occasionally request donations, but this is always optional and not a condition of creating or using a Freecycle account. We are not asking for account verification, or running a lottery.
We are investigating the situation and disabling the spammers as quickly as we can.
