All possible steps must be taken to reduce the risk of coronavirus infection. The main advice is regular hand washing, with the assumption that everything you touch in public might be contaminated. If anyone in your household has suffered from COVID 19 symptoms you should not give items away on Freecycle without first warning the recipient. Do not give away items that you know to be contaminated. It is your personal responsibility to comply with government guidance and regulations, and to judge whether you can lawfully and safely collect an item that you have accepted or whether you should postpone collection until the regulations for your area have been relaxed.
