When you want to accept an offer

When you see an offer in your Freecycle group and you want to accept it, these are some points to consider. The person who has made the offer is perfectly entitled to reply only to the person he/she has chosen to be the recipient of the item. There is no obligation to notify others who have expressed an interest to say that the item has been taken. Will you be chosen to be the lucky recipient? Short messages such as "yes please", or "when can I collect?" or "is this still available" do not help you stand out from the crowd. A few words about why the item would be very useful to you might help you to secure the item. If you are chosen to receive the item, please be considerate. Please turn up when you've said you'll turn up and if you have to reschedule, let the other person know well in advance. If you don't turn up, do not be surprised if someone else takes the item.
