I bought a very basic recliner from Wayfair as I needed to sleep upright for weeks after shoulder surgery. It was Protected with sheets the whole time so it's like new with with modest wear on the foot rest. we just don't have the room for it in our small house and it's like new.  No cats and dogs in the home, but there is a Parrot in case you have a severe feather allergy.
