Hello,
I am looking for donated materials to help my fiancé build this electric guitar from scratch, as a store-bought instrument is out of our budget right now, has been for quite some time.... He is a beautiful guitar player with no guitar...
If you have any leftover woodworking supplies, old guitar electronics, or hardware taking up space, we would love to give them a second life. We are looking for:
• Lumber scraps: Thicker pieces of maple, ash, alder, mahogany, walnut, or oak suitable for a guitar body.
• Electronics/Hardware: Pickups, knobs, wiring, jacks, tuning keys, or an electric bridge.
• Tools: Wood clamps, wood files/rasps, chisels, or a soldering iron.
• Project guitars: Any old, broken, or cheap electric guitars we can salvage for parts.
We are located in the Seattle [he was hit and disabled by a drink driver over 10 years ago so we can't travel too far] but will come pick them up at your convenience. Thank you for your time and generosity.
I hope I posted this correctly, if not.... please ignore ?
