I purchased this Canon Maxify GX 5020 from Amazon a year ago April. Being lazy, I did not register it with Canon. After a very few prints, it stopped printing and had a message about an error. Called Canon, was told this model is retired and replaced by the Canon Maxify GX 2020. They could not do anything to help me since it was over a year old. THe support person said he thought that the Printer needed a replacement ( i now forget what part!) that would cost $180. He was guessing. I am happy to give it away to someone who knows printers and can fix it. I live downtown in Sarasota, and can easily leave it at the desk in my apartment building for anyone to pick up at your convenience. This is a PIGMENT INK printer that I needed to make transfers for my collages.
