I have a bunch of frozen beef and some chicken in my deep freezer that we won't be using. It is up to 5 years old, so I don't know how good it will taste if cooked. I hate to just throw it away. It has been frozen solid all this time in the bottom of my big chest freezer. It has never been thawed. I was gifted a whole bunch of beef in various cuts by a friend back in 2021. She got it from a cow she had slaughtered. The beef patties have a best by date of Oct. 2021. I can't find a best by date on the chicken drumsticks, but I don't think they are quite as old as the beef. Maybe from 2022 or 2023? I've read you can cut off any freezer burned parts before cooking and it should still be good as long as it has remained frozen solid. There's probably about 8-10 pouds of meat there. Maybe more. I will throw it out if no one wants it, but thought I'd offer in case this is something that could help someone.
