WANTED

ISO Sewing items (esp ones for hands with limited mobility/functionality)

Hi! I'm looking for sewing items!

Particularly ones that are easy to use with limited hand functionality.

I'm specifically looking for the following list of items, but I'm open to other items/gadgets that I may not know exist!

Particularly products meant to make it easier to use with limited hand mobility (like arthritis and tendonitis) would be good to know about. I'm open to being private messaged with product or diy recommendations as well if you know if any particularly good ones for this but don't have them to gift. I try to get things second hand whenever possible and would prefer to avoid obtaining newly made items so I'm checking here first. Please comment or feel free to direct message me! Thanks for your consideration!

- seam ripper with large-ish handle, ideally sharp or sharpenable. Either style (scalpel-like or U-end) are ok

-ballpoint pins (meaning they are not sharp and are meant for use with knits and other fabrics that can unravel if a thread is cut) with large heads that are easy to grip (ballhead or otherwise) ideally 1.25 inch or longer

-Magic pins / easy grip style pins either sharps or ballpoint

-Safety pins, ideally nickel-free

-scissors that are easy to hold, light weight and large handles ideally. Ideally sharp but I could get them sharpened probably.

-thimble made of leather or some other flexible-ish material, or a hypoallergenic metal ring style one

-finger grip assists? maybe something exists to go on fingers to make it easier to hold a needle or hold fabric in place

-long hand sewing needles, ideally ballpoint (for use with knits, no sharp point) but sharps could be useful

-Measuring tape (soft), ideally retractable

-Long measuring stick / yard stick/ etc

-pin cushion, any would work but a ring or bracelet style one would be cool.

General stuff that would always be useful!:

-thread, ideally thin gauge cotton but any would be appreciated!

-stuffing, like for pillows and such

-fabric scraps or old clothes (none washed with fragranced laundry detergent or from smoking households please)

-organization items (like a sewing box / basket, bins, containers etc, particularly for organizing threads spools and misc sewing items)

These would be big asks and so greatly appreciated: -Serger / edge finisher machine

-dress form / mannequin (or just a stand for one)

Thanks for reading my post!!
