Freecycle Member Reports

Freecycle Member Reports helps our Spam Control Team keep Freecycle clear of scammers and spammers. We are volunteers who are not connected in any way with your local Town group.

Who should I report via Freecycle Member Reports?

  • Members who you strongly suspect are trying to scam Freecycle members
  • Members who respond to your post with spam
  • Members who ask you to send money for postage/delivery/courier
  • Members who ask you to mail items overseas

Report these members to your local Town moderator:

  • No-shows
  • Time-wasters
  • Rude responses
  • Members who try to sell items you are asking for

Report inappropriate posts to your local Town moderator

If the post is still listed on Freecycle.org, here's how to report it:

  • Click on the post to see the detail
  • Click Report and add any additional details to the report form. Don't delete the post ID number that is already there. This tells us which post you are reporting.
  • Click Send.

How can I contact my local Town moderator?

Go to My Towns, click on the Town name, and then click on Message Moderators.

Can you forward my message to the local Town moderator?

No, our messaging system doesn't have the capability to forward messages.

How do I stop the other member from messaging me?
